Israeli planes bomb the Syrian-Lebanese border
Several explosions sounded after midnight yesterday, Sunday, September 17, on the Syrian-Lebanese border, accompanied by the flight of Israeli warplanes, according to Lebanese media.
And the "Lebanese" news agency reported that explosions were heard from inside Syrian territory on the border opposite Hermel, northeastern Lebanon.
The sources said that the Israeli warplanes were flying over the town of Hermel, near the border with Syria.
Identical sources indicated that Israeli planes bombed the illegal crossings of the Lebanese Hezbollah between Al-Baladi, which are usually used to smuggle weapons and drugs.
The Lebanese media confirmed that the air defenses confronted hostile targets in the sky of Damascus, targeting the airport, claiming that they shot down most of them.
The raids came in less than 24 hours, as an Israeli air strike targeted Damascus International Airport, killing 5 members of the regime forces, according to the official media of the Assad regime.
It is noteworthy that the Lebanese-Israeli border witnessed clashes last April between the Palestinians and the occupation police in Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem, which sparked Arab anger and international concern.
