A number of members of the Assad regime were injured, yesterday morning, Monday, when an explosive device exploded targeting a car carrying them in the western countryside of Daraa.

The "Ahrar Houran" group said that an explosive device exploded while a military vehicle was passing near the lake in the town of Muzayrib, followed by shooting targeting the members of the patrol, which led to the injury of four of them.

In a related context, Mowaffaq Bahjat Al-Masry was subjected to an assassination attempt after an explosive device exploded in his car in the town of Al-Muta'iya, east of Daraa.

 According to local sources, he works in a local group affiliated with the Military Security Branch.

This was preceded by an unknown targeting of First Lieutenant Muhammad Juma Al-Ahmad on the salaries of the Political Security Branch in Daraa with an explosive device planted in his car while he was on his way to work in the Al-Kashef neighborhood in Daraa city, near the Industrial High School in the center of Daraa city, which led to his death instantly on August 21.

Previously, unknown persons targeted an armored vehicle belonging to the State Security Branch with an explosive device that was planted on the road between the villages of "Al-Dali" and "Burqa", which led to the killing and wounding of members of the regime.

It is noteworthy that Daraa Governorate is witnessing continued chaos, deterioration of the security situation and a marked escalation in killings and targeting of regime forces and their collaborators, as well as members of local groups dealing with Iranian militias.
