A prominent leader in the Baath Brigades militia, which is close to the Lebanese militia Hezbollah, was killed the day before yesterday, Sunday, at the hands of unknown persons in the countryside of Damascus.
The local "Ain al-Sham" center said that unknown persons assassinated a leader close to the Lebanese militia, "Nasser Mahmoud Marei", near the Syrian-Lebanese border, and he is from the Kfir Yabous area, in the northern countryside of Damascus.
Last month, unknown gunmen attacked a checkpoint of the Fourth Division near a Lebanese village, along the Syrian border, injuring a number of members.
It is noteworthy that at the end of last August, unknown gunmen assassinated a leader close to the party in the village of Al-Tawani, near the city of Al-Qutayfah, in the Damascus countryside, under mysterious circumstances.
