15 arrests in less than a week in Eastern Ghouta
Last week, the Syrian regime's intelligence launched a new security campaign, targeting several cities and towns to search for hidden recruits and reservists.
And according to the Voice of the Capital website, the patrols of the Military Security Department continued their security campaign on the main and secondary roads, which led to the arrest of four young men in Ain Tarma and two others in Hazaa.
The patrols moved their activities to the town of Kafr Batna, where they set up temporary checkpoints, which led to the arrest of five young men, one of whom is a member of a settlement affiliated with local militias.
The campaign affected the town of Hammouriyeh, where four young men were arrested, and security checks were tightened at the military checkpoints around Eastern Ghouta to search for wanted persons using military or security cards issued by the militias, to circumvent duty and serve the country.
The Voice of the Capital team has documented at least 150 arrests of residents of Damascus and its countryside since early 2022, including two women and a young man with special needs.
