The body of an Iraqi refugee was found in Al-Hol camp in Hasaka countryside

Yesterday, Sunday evening, the Internal Security Forces of the Syrian Democratic Forces announced the discovery of the body of an Iraqi refugee in al-Hol camp in al-Hasakah countryside.

The security forces said in a statement: "During the combing operations that took place on Sunday in the fourth sector of Al-Hol camp, our forces found the body of the 45-year-old Iraqi refugee, Karim Hussein Ali."

On August 25 of last year, the security forces of the SDF announced the start of a new campaign against ISIS cells in al-Hol camp, with the support of the international coalition forces, confirming that 44 people had been killed in the camp since the beginning of that year.

According to security sources in al-Hol, most of the dead at the hands of ISIS cells this year are Iraqi refugees.

In the al-Hol camp, east of al-Hasakah, the bodies of Iraqi refugees and a displaced Syrian man were found shot dead by suspected ISIS cells in the camp last August.

And local sources in the camp stated that "ISIS cell members shot and killed the Iraqi refugee Hatem Mahmoud and his brother Hisham Mahmoud in the fifth section of the camp."

She added, "ISIS cells also killed the young Syrian Samer Rawad, who was expelled from Deir ez-Zor in the fourth section of the camp."

Al-Hol camp witnessed attacks on Iraqi refugees and displaced Syrians from time to time amid the ongoing security chaos in the camp.
