ISIS attacks on Syrian regime sites in Raqqa and Deir ez-Zor
Cells likely to be affiliated with the Islamic State "ISIS" launched an attack on military sites belonging to the regime forces in the "Al-Rusafa" and "Jabal Al-Bishri" deserts in the countryside of Raqqa and Deir ez-Zor governorates, eastern Syria.
According to the "Zaman al-Wasl" website, the organization's cells carried out two attacks, targeting sites belonging to the regime forces and the Russian-backed "National Defense" militia in the "Jabal Al-Bishri" desert in the southwestern countryside of Deir Ezzor, and the "Rusafa" desert in the southwestern countryside of Raqqa. As a result, the regime forces were killed and wounded during the two attacks.
He explained that Russian warplanes carried out air raids today, Sunday, targeting sites believed to be held by ISIS in the "Jabal Al-Bishri" desert and the "Rusafa" desert, while other raids targeted the Homs-Raqqa road within the Syrian Badia.
It is worth noting that the organization announced on Saturday, September 10, the outcome of its operations during the past week, confirming the killing and wounding of 31 members of the regime forces and the "SDF" militia in 14 operations within what it called "the Levant Province".
