The regime admits that a quarter of the prisoners in Hama prison are merchants
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Hama Chamber of Industry of the Assad government, "Youssef Al-Asfar" revealed the suffering of the merchants, which is represented in the large number of detainees in prison, as a result of catering violations in accordance with the provisions of Decree 8 of 2021.
And the pro-Ather Press website quoted Al-Asfar as saying: 25% of the city's prison inmates are merchants, as a result of catering violations, calling for the penalty to be financial, represented by an increase in fines because it is more deterrent than the prison sentence, as he put it.
Al-Asfar added that traders in regime-controlled areas suffer from a shortage of fuel, as the dealer is forced to buy diesel from the black market, and some of them have not received a liter of diesel for three months, as this was accompanied by the long electrical rationing, in addition to that they also suffer from Difficulty securing foreign currency.
It is noteworthy that the regime-controlled areas suffer from a severe shortage of fuel, which has led to a significant increase in its prices, in light of continuous power cuts that sometimes reach 22 hours a day.
