The family of a Kurdish kidnapper in SDF prisons fears that he will be handed over to the Assad regime

The family of a Kurdish youth kidnapped by the intelligence of the so-called "self-management" supervised by the Democratic Union Party "PYD", released humanitarian and human rights organizations to pressure the administration's officials to reveal his fate.

According to the Kurdish "BasNews" website, the family of the young man expressed their fear that the kidnapped young man would be handed over to the security services of the Assad regime, similar to those who were previously kidnapped and handed over by the SDF militias to the Assad regime.

The Human Rights Organization in Afrin said in a statement that the Military Intelligence of the Autonomous Administration kidnapped on "07/07/2022" the 34-year-old young man, "Joan Ramzi Fakhri Haqi", in the "Sheikh Maqsoud" neighborhood in the city of Aleppo. Without any charges being brought against him, he was taken to an unknown destination without knowing his fate until now.

The organization explained that after several attempts by the family of the kidnapped and his wife, to search for him, knock on the doors of the officials' offices, and visit the military headquarters of the SDF to find out his fate, but all attempts were unsuccessful.

The organization indicated that the young man’s family had appealed to civil society activists and human rights and human rights organizations to pressure the Autonomous Administration officials to reveal the young man’s fate, due to their fear of handing him over to the security services of the Assad regime, similar to those who were kidnapped earlier and handed over previously, due to the strong relations And coordination between the two security agencies.

The organization added that the young man’s family is afraid that their kidnapped son will meet the fate of those kidnapped since previous years, such as: Amir Hamed, Ahmed Seydou Bin Othman, Idris Alo, Ahmed Sinno, Nidal Othman, Abdo Abdel Rahman Issa, Jamil Omar, Fouad Ibrahim, Behzad Dorsen and others, or His fate will be the same as the fate of those who were killed during the last period under torture in the administration’s prisons, such as “Farhad Sheikho, Diyar Khalil Omar”, and then medical reports of their deaths naturally or clots were issued by gynecological specialists.

It is worth noting that the organization, at the conclusion of its statement, noted that the aforementioned information was received from an unnamed high-ranking official working within the Autonomous Administration in the city of Aleppo.
