Some of them are in critical condition....4 children injured in a mine explosion in Kobani

Mines and unexploded ordnance continue to claim more civilian lives, especially children, in most of the Syrian regions.

According to local sources, four children were seriously injured yesterday, Wednesday, two of them in critical condition, as a result of the explosion of a landmine while they were grazing sheep in the village of Yedi Qawi, south of Kobani in the Aleppo countryside.

The source quoted a medical source from Al-Amal Hospital in Kobani as saying: The four children arrived at the hospital after they sustained various injuries as a result of a mine explosion while they were grazing sheep.

He pointed out that the children are “Jassim Khaled Al-Hawais, 10 years old, whose leg and hand were amputated and his condition is critical, Fawaz Khaled, 6 years old, suffering from cerebral hemorrhage with a broken leg and multiple injuries, and he is also in critical condition, Fatima Khaled, 8 years old, who has several injuries, and Zainab Khaled, 3 years old. She has leg injuries.

It is noteworthy that the Syrian Civil Defense and the response coordinators warned in earlier times of the high death toll and injuries among civilians, as a result of the spread of war remnants and mines in areas of Syria.
