Local sources confirmed that the US Special Envoy to North and East Syria, Nicholas Grainger, promised during his meeting with the leaders of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) that the United States would increase its support for the militia.

Kurdish media said that Grainger confirmed, in his meeting with SDF CEO Ilham Ahmed, to increase US support for the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, by granting the SDF areas exemptions from Caesar's sanctions.

The sources pointed out that the US envoy considered that this support will encourage investment and move the wheel of the economy, and support efforts to establish security in the region, as he put it.

It is noteworthy that the United States of America issued earlier decisions exempting the Qasd militia from some of the penalties stipulated in Caesar's Law, while continuing to provide material and military support to that militia.
