Turkey confirms arrest of 5 senior ISIS leaders in Syria
The Turkish Ministry of Interior announced the arrest of five senior leaders of the "Islamic State" organization "ISIS" in Syria, in a security operation carried out in the town of Jarablus in the eastern countryside of Aleppo.
The ministry said in a statement, that the gendarmerie forces in Gaziantep arrested the so-called Ramo Muhammad al-Hamad, nicknamed "Rami Remo" on August 31, as he intended to carry out a terrorist act.
"Remo" is considered responsible for the judiciary within ISIS, and according to the Turkish Ministry of the Interior, "SDF" forces released him from Al-Kaf prison in Al-Hasakah governorate earlier on the condition that he leave for the city of Jarabulus, which is under the control of the Syrian National Army.
She added that, based on Remo's confession, the Turkish security forces were able to arrest 4 ISIS leaders in the Jarablus region, while they were trying to infiltrate Turkey with the intention of carrying out a terrorist act on its territory.
The statement said that the four leaders are the intelligence chief Ibrahim Al-Saleh, nicknamed "Abu Rasool", the head of social networking sites Hossam Dawoud, nicknamed "Abi Ayoub", the head of training Ahmed Al-Helou, nicknamed "Abu Abdul Rahman Al-Shami", and another named Kami Aydan, nicknamed "Abu Rashid". Imam."
It is noteworthy that the security forces that arrested the six people cooperated with the elements of the organization and provided them with assistance, in addition to seizing a Kalashnikov rifle, a magazine and 27 rifle bullets.
