The Assad government announces registration for sugar and rice allocations...but the application does not work

The government of the Assad regime announced the start of registration for sugar and rice allocations via the electronic card, without specifying the number of months, as of today, Thursday, September 1, through the “Win” application and the Telegram channel.

According to an official announcement on the page of the Ministry of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection of the Assad regime, the start of registration for the next cycle of distributing sugar and rice through the electronic card was announced, as of Thursday 1/9/2022.

Today, many Syrians were surprised that the “Win” application on which the registration was announced does not work, and that if the application is opened, there is no tab to register for the new allocations, and the Telegram channel does not respond, especially since the existence of a new version of the application has not been announced. The application or the need to update the version.

Ziyad Hazaa, director general of the Syrian Trade Corporation in the regime's government, said that the previous cycle of subsidized materials was opened in March and lasted for several months, as more than 39,000 tons of rice were imported, which is enough to distribute more than one cycle.

Hazaa claimed that the economic sanctions imposed on the Assad regime are the reason, noting that there is difficulty in securing transportation for shipment from the country of origin, which is the source of sugar and rice.

It is worth noting that food prices in the Assad regime-controlled areas have risen to unprecedented levels, with the price of the dollar rising to nearly 4,500 Syrian pounds, amid difficult living conditions for civilians.
