4 members of the regime and Iran militias were killed in the countryside of Raqqa and Homs

Identical local sources revealed that unknown persons likely to be affiliated with the Islamic State targeted a vehicle belonging to the regime forces near Tabqa Airport in Raqqa countryside, yesterday, Wednesday, August 31.

According to the sources, unidentified gunmen believed to be affiliated with the Islamic State "ISIS" attacked with weapons a military car carrying a number of regime forces west of Tabqa Military Airport in the western countryside of Raqqa.

The sources indicated that the attack resulted in the killing of a member of the regime forces and the injury of 3 others.

In the same context, unidentified gunmen targeted a military checkpoint of the Iranian militias at the entrance to the town of Al-Sukhna in the eastern countryside of Homs, which led to the killing of 3 militia members and the wounding of 4 others.

And last Sunday, August 28, an explosive device planted by unknown persons exploded near Tabqa Airport, west of Raqqa, killing one member and wounding others.

It is worth noting that ISIS cells have intensified their operations during the last period, as the organization’s cells spread in the desert areas of the eastern countryside of Homs, to the countryside of Deir ez-Zor and the countryside of Raqqa.
