Russian warplanes escalate air strikes on the cities of Idlib countryside

This morning, Wednesday, August 31, the Russian warplanes launched several air raids targeting residential neighborhoods in the countryside of Idlib, northwestern Syria.

"Qasioun TV" correspondent reported that a Russian warplane targeted, with two air strikes, residential neighborhoods in the vicinity of Sarja town in Jabal al-Zawiya countryside and the vicinity of Idlib city, causing material damage to civilian facilities.

She added that the civil defense teams went to the place of execution, secured it and searched it so that civilians would not be killed or injured.

The correspondent stated that the bombing of the Assad regime targeted residential neighborhoods in the town of Al-Ruwaiha in the southern countryside of Idlib, and the town of Kafr Amim in the western countryside of Aleppo.

In addition to artillery shelling by the Assad regime forces, targeting the vicinity of the town of Atarib and Kafr Ta'al in the western countryside of Aleppo.

At the end of last month, seven Syrian civilians, including four brothers, died as a result of Russian bombing targeting the Jisr al-Shughur countryside, west of Idlib, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.

It is noteworthy that since the beginning of this year, Idlib governorate, which falls under the name of the de-escalation zone, has been subjected to attacks by Assad's forces and Russia, which led to dozens of casualties and wounded civilians, including women and children.
