Local media sources revealed that unidentified gunmen likely to be affiliated with the "Islamic State" organization, targeted a military point belonging to the militias of the Syrian Democratic Forces "SDF", on the evening of Monday-Tuesday, in the town of "Al-Raz" in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor.

According to the sources, unidentified gunmen targeted, with "RBG" missiles, a military point belonging to the "SDF" militia in the "Al-Zar" water station on the bank of the "Euphrates River" in the village of Al-Zar in the Al-Busayrah district.

The sources confirmed that violent clashes erupted between the SDF and the attackers, which lasted for about half an hour, resulting in material damage, before the attackers fled.

In the same context, the so-called "Khalif al-Awwad al-Hayes" was killed as a result of being shot by unidentified gunmen, and he was from the town of "Granij" in the countryside of Deir ez-Zor.

It is worth noting that the areas under the control of the "SDF" militia have witnessed, during the last period, an escalation in attacks targeting its leadership, elements and those who deal with it, in addition to targeting employees working in its "Self-Administration".
