Al-Assad adopts two companies co-founded by Gulf investors

Yesterday, Saturday, August 27, the regime's Ministry of Internal Trade issued a decision to officially approve two companies that were co-founded by investors holding Gulf citizenship.

According to the decision, the ministry agreed to establish the two companies "Power Bitumen and Queen of Najd", which were jointly established by investors from two Gulf countries.

The sources indicated that the Power Bitumen Company will work in the field of constructing and laying highways, bridges, airport floors, and all works related to highways and bridges, and importing all asphalt paving production requirements.

And she continued: The company will also work in the field of machinery and mechanisms necessary for the facility's operation, means of transportation, and necessary spare parts, as well as maintenance and paving of roads and bridges, providing all associated and related services, and finishing all types of asphalt.

The second company, Malakah Najd, will work in the citrus trade, distribution and auctioning.

The headquarters of this company is located in the countryside of Damascus, and it is owned by three investors, one of whom is a Kuwaiti national and owns 50% of the company's main capital.

In the same context, an official in the government of the head of the regime indicated that Russian companies are studying the possibility of establishing investment projects in Syria, in addition to the proposal of Emirati businessmen to establish renewable energy projects in cooperation between Syrian and Emirati businessmen.

It is noteworthy that the head of the regime issued Investment Law No. 18 in May 2021 to grant privileges and exceptions to encourage investment in Syria and facilitate the procedures for establishing companies in all their legal forms.
