One person was killed and others injured in clashes in As-Suwayda

Today, Monday, local sources reported that clashes with machine guns erupted between a local armed group and the regime forces, in As-Suwayda Governorate, which led to death one person and injury others.
According to what "Suwayda 24" network reported, a local armed group from Shahba city cut off the entrance to As-Suwayda city this morning at Al-Basel roundabout, in an attempt to kidnap members of the regime, in response to arrest young man by a security authority, Nawras Tayseer Abu Zain Al-Din in Damascus yesterday, Sunday.
The network added that the regime forces attacked the group, and there was an exchange of fire with individual weapons and pixie machine guns.
It indicated that the clashes led to killing Shadi Wafik Alabi, the leader of an armed group from Shahba city, and the wounding of three others in the group's ranks, and a member of the regime forces was wounded, according to a medical source.
The source confirmed that the group withdrew to Shahba city after the clashes, and forces of order and security were deployed at the entrance to As-Suwayda city amid a state of great alert, between Al-Basel and Al-Anqoud roundabouts, which led to damage cars and houses as a result of shooting.
It is noteworthy that last night, activists called for a protest in front of the governorate building to demand the release of Nawras Abu Zain Al-Din, whose family said that his arrest came after his participation in peaceful demonstrations calling for political change.
