The regime closes Al- Tabqa crossing between it and SDF

The regime forces closed Al-Tabqa crossing in the western Al- Raqqa countryside, which connects with the areas controlled by the Syrian Democratic Forces.

According to SDF media outlets, the regime forces have closed the crossing since Thursday, December 16, after the large wave of displacement that the regime witnessed towards Autonomous Administration areas as a result of the deteriorating economic situation.

The sources added that the regime forces closed Al-Tabqa crossing to prevent the influx of a larger number of residents towards the Autonomous Administration areas.

Al-Tabqa crossing is one of the most important crossings for people to move between areas controlled by SDF and Assad forces.

It is noteworthy that the area has many irregular crossings, where people and goods move, as it is located on the banks of the Euphrates River from the countryside of Deir Ezzor to Al- Raqqa countryside.
