Russian claims that 7 out of 8 Israeli missiles were shot down in the last raid
The Russian center of Hmeimim base claimed that the Syrian regime's defenses shot down 7 out of 8 Israeli missiles, during the Israeli raid on Damascus International Airport last night.
The deputy head of the Russian center, Vadim Kolet, said that on December 16, between 1:51 and 1:59, four Israeli F-16 fighters launched eight cruise missiles from Golan airspace at sites in the vicinity of Damascus International Airport.
It added that the Syrian regime's air defense forces shot down 7 missiles using Russian-made "Pantsir-S" systems.
It stressed that the Israeli air strike resulted in damage to a warehouse and the death of one person.
