The regime sends large military reinforcements to As-Suwayda, southern Syria

 Local news sources reported that the Syrian regime forces sent military reinforcements to As-Suwayda Governorate, and set up military fortifications on the roof of the National Hospital in the city.

"Enab Baladi" website stated that the regime forces built new military fortifications on the roof of the National Hospital in As-Suwayda city, and a number of its members were stationed inside the fortifications without knowing the reasons, which angered the city's residents.

It indicated, according to Al-Hadath Syria website, that the continued arrival of reinforcements raised the fears of the residents of the province about the outbreak of confrontations between the regime forces and the region's factions.

According to some sources, the commander of one of the local military groups in the province said that the meetings of the Syrian regime’s “security committee” in As-Suwayda discussed plans to divide the province into security sectors supervised by small security teams, in addition to putting forward plans to dissolve all the local factions and formations, and keep the “National Defense” groups.

As an auxiliary faction with the regime’s forces, conducting joint security patrols backed by forces from the regime’s army and the “National Defense Forces” and withdrawing indiscriminate weapons and security cards.
