Social media circulated pictures of Russian military vehicles distributing foodstuffs in Al-Qardaha, Latakia.

The pictures show a number of citizens gathering in front of a Russian military vehicle to receive a relief basket containing a can of oil and pasta in one of the villages of Al-Qardaha, Bashar al-Assad's hometown.

Activist Kamal Rostom posted the photos on his official Facebook page on Tuesday, quoting his friend in the village, describing the photos as shameful for the regime's sect, which aims to starve them, according to his description.

The activist wondered about the deliberate distribution of relief baskets by the Russian vehicles in Lattakia countryside and the villages of Al-Qardaha in particular, to the exclusion of other cities of Damascus, Daraa, As-Suwayda and others.

It is noteworthy that Russian patrols were hit with stones in As-Suwayda Governorate, while they were distributing relief baskets to the people.
