The National Army denies recruiting children into its ranks

A spokesman for the Syrian National Army denied what was circulated about the recruitment of children into its ranks in the regions of northern Syria.
Major Youssef Al-Hamoud, a spokesman for the National Army, responded to these accusations, completely denying their validity, and confirmed that what was circulated on social media about the recruitment of minors into the ranks of the National Army, and the absence of any person under the age of 18, was not true in the records. Corps and divisions of the "National Army".
Al-Hamoud said: “From the beginning of the formation of the National Army, orders and instructions were given by the Ministry of Defense in the Syrian Interim Government to the commanders of the corps and divisions, according to documented data in the Ministry of Defense, to prevent the recruitment of minors,” according to “Enab Baladi” website.
He pointed out that the decisions of the Ministry of Defense received a great response from the factions, and therefore there is no need to recruit minor children, as there are many young people who wish to join the factions of the "National Army", but they cannot be accommodated within the absorption plan.
It is noteworthy that pages circulated on social networking sites documents talking about the recruitment of minor children under the age of 18 in the Turkish-backed Syrian National Army, in Afrin and Azaz.
