Yesterday, Saturday, local sources reported that civilians were wounded by bullets by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), while they were trying to cross the M4 road from the northern countryside of Al-Raqqa towards the "Spring of Peace" areas, at the axis of the town of Al-Tarwazia.

"Ain al-Furat" local network stated that the People's Protection Units, the backbone of "SDF" forces, fired live bullets at two people who tried to block the road, injuring them.

The network added that the injured were transferred by SDF militia to "Omar Alloush" hospital, and they were placed under compulsory detention, with the aim of interrogating them upon their recovery.

It pointed out that the injured were displaced from the western countryside of Deir Ezzor, and this was the second case, during the month of December, after a similar targeting of a fuel tanker in which a civilian was wounded.

It is noteworthy that cases of shooting at civilians who refused to stop or tried to cross into other areas are repeated from time to time, without any deterrence or accountability from officials in light of the clear disregard for the lives of civilians.
