Yesterday, Sunday, local sources confirmed that a leader of the Syrian Democratic Forces "SDF" survived an assassination attempt carried out by unidentified gunmen in the western countryside of Deir Ezzor.

According to what was reported by "Al-Khabour" network, the leader of SDF's Military Intelligence, "Rami Ahmed Al-Awfat", was subjected to an assassination attempt by unknown assailants near Al-Milag Island, west of Deir Ezzor

A leader of the Syrian Democratic Forces, "SDF", had survived an assassination attempt, in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor last month.

Unknown persons believed to be from cells of the "ISIS" organization carried out an armed attack last month on a military vehicle belonging to "SDF" in the village of "Suwaidan Jazira", east of Deir Ezzor governorate.

At the time, the sources indicated that the leader, "Ahmed Al-Obeid Al-Najars", survived the attack, while his companion, "Ayman Eifan Al-Hussein", was killed, and two members were wounded.

It is noteworthy that a number of SDF leadership were killed during the past weeks by aerial bombardment by Turkish drones targeting their presence centers or their car.
