The Directorate of Education in "Olive Branch" area, in the northern Aleppo countryside, announced today, Friday, an increase in the salaries of all employees of the Directorate of Education.

The directorate stated in its statement that the salary of the director of education was raised from 1,000 TL to 1,400 TL, and the assistant director's salary was raised from 850 TL to 1,200 TL.

It also set the salary of the division director at 1150 Turkish liras, after it was 800 Turkish liras, and the school director at 1200 Turkish liras, after it was 850 Turkish liras, and also set the salary of the assistant principal at 1150 Turkish liras, after it was 800 Turkish liras.

As for the teacher’s salary, it became 1,100 Turkish liras, approximately (66 dollars), with the collapse of the Turkish lira against the US dollar, while the employee’s salary was set at 700 Turkish liras, after it was 500 Turkish liras.

It is noteworthy that this increase came after protests and strikes by teachers in northern Syria for nearly two months.
