Today, local sources reported killing three people and wounding another of the "People's Protection Units - YPG", by a shell fired by unknown persons targeting their military vehicle on the outskirts of Al-Karamah town, east of Al-Raqqa, amid the alertness of the "Syrian Democratic Forces" (SDF) in the area.

A source from the Internal Security Forces Al-(Asayish) said that "unidentified persons, whose affiliation isn't known, targeted with an RPG missile a military vehicle belonging to the People's Protection Units (the main component of "SDF") on the outskirts of Al-Karamah town from the side of Hamrat, east of Al-Raqqa, which resulted killing 3 members of the targeted units and seriously wounded another."

The source added, according to Syria TV, that a security cordon operation took place at the targeting site and military checkpoints were set up in conjunction with an inspection operation of the nearby informal camps, without knowing the perpetrator or any evidence about those involved.

 The source indicated that the dead and wounded were taken to Al-Raqqa Military Hospital in order to hand them over to their leaders and contact their families.
