Clashes between drug dealers and regime security forces in Yarmouk camp, south of Damascus

Clashes took place between a group working in the narcotics trade, and anti-drug patrols in the regime's government on the outskirts of Yarmouk camp, south of the capital, Damascus.

Voice of the Capital network said that the clashes took place during a raid carried out by "anti-drug" patrols.

It targeted a warehouse belonging to the trafficking network, adding that the elements of the drug trafficking network fired direct bullets at the patrols as soon as they arrived at a house that was converted into their headquarters.

The network added that the clashes were concentrated in “Al-Orouba” neighborhood, separating the “Yarmouk camp” and “Yalda” areas, adding that the patrols managed to control the targeted house after about 15 minutes of clashes, pointing out that the trafficking network members tried to flee into the camp. Yarmouk.

It pointed out that intermittent clashes took place between the fleeing elements and the "anti-drug" patrols inside Yarmouk camp during their pursuit, explaining that the regime's intelligence sent reinforcements from its members to the area of the clash.

It is noteworthy that the “Fourth Division” militia has, over the last years, transformed Al-Orouba neighborhood into a center for collecting stolen goods, in addition to turning it into a major source of hashish and narcotic pills in the south of the capital.
