The Salvation Government justifies the reason for the entry of an aid convoy from the regime’s areas to Idlib

The Ministry of Development and Humanitarian Affairs in the Syrian "Salvation" government announced the reasons that prompted the government to accept the entry of a second batch of international humanitarian aid from the regime's areas to Idlib.

The Director of Public Relations at the Ministry of Development and Humanitarian Affairs, Muhammad Al-Bashir, said in an interview with "Radio Revolution", that Russia has sought over the last years to close the crossings in the liberated areas.

It added that the Russian occupier succeeded in this and closed all crossings, except for Bab al-Hawa, north of Idlib, and didn’t allow the extension of the entry of aid through it, last July, only after the rest of the international parties accepted the entry of some aid through the contact lines; Between the regime and the areas of the Syrian revolution.

It explained that the government in Idlib refused the entry of aid through the contact lines except after the decision to extend the entry of aid, which was issued five months ago, and despite that, it only allowed the entry of only two convoys, the last of which contained 14 trucks, while about five thousand trucks entered through Bab al-Hawa, within five months.

It pointed out that the Salvation Government set several conditions for the entry of the two convoys from the lines of contact, and didn’t accept deducting the aid included in the two convoys from the aid entering across the border.

It is noteworthy that a convoy of humanitarian aid entered the day before yesterday, Thursday, from the regime’s areas, to Idlib governorate, from Al-Tarniyeh crossing, under the protection of Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham members.
