Idlib Health Directorate, in partnership with humanitarian and health organizations, announced the launch of an awareness campaign called “Badir”, which aims to educate people in northwestern Syria about the importance of taking anti-Coronavirus vaccine.

The Director of Health, through her identifiers, said that the campaign it launched in cooperation with the Humanitarian Horizons Organization and the Syria Vaccine Team, aims to educate people about the importance of the Covid-19 vaccine in immunizing society against the Corona pandemic,

Raising the vaccination rate in the region, based on our societal responsibility to protect our people from this dangerous epidemic.

It added that the demand for vaccination with the Covid-19 vaccine in northern Syria is still very weak, and doesn’t achieve the societal immunity required to confront the pandemic.

The directorate warned against the continued reluctance to take the vaccine, stressing that this threatens to expose the region to a peak of new infections, which may leave tens of thousands infected and claim thousands of deaths,” stressing that “the vaccine is our only means of besieging the epidemic.

It is noteworthy that vaccination centers in northwest Syria are witnessing a weak turnout from the people, despite awareness campaigns launched by several organizations.
