The Syrian regime announces that it has received a new Israeli strike at dawn on Thursday

The Syrian regime claimed that its air defenses responded to an "Israeli aggression" that targeted military points belonging to its forces in the south of the country.

The regime's "SANA" news agency quoted an unnamed military source as saying that "at 00.50 a.m. on Thursday, local time, the Israeli enemy carried out an air strike targeting military points in southern Syria."

The source explained that the raid resulted in killing one of the regime's elements, adding, "However, our air defense systems confronted the enemy's missiles and shot down most of them."

The Israeli army didn't comment on the issue until 00:42 (GMT).

For years, the regime-controlled areas have been subjected to Israeli bombardment from time to time, targeting sites for its forces and military bases affiliated with Iran and its terrorist groups.
