UN envoy Geir Pedersen arrives in Damascus tomorrow

Pro-regime sources announced that the UN Special Envoy for Syria, Geir Pedersen, will arrive in the Syrian capital, Damascus, tomorrow.

According to "Al-Watan" loyal newspaper, Pedersen will arrive in Damascus tomorrow and meet on Sunday the regime's Foreign Minister, Faisal Miqdad.

The newspaper had previously indicated that Pedersen's visit will last for two days, and that he will discuss in Damascus the possibility of holding a seventh round of meetings of the Constitutional Committee in Geneva.

Sources indicated that Pedersen will go to Brussels after his visit in Damascus to participate in the meeting of the international coalition against ISIS, which will be held on the second of next December.

It is noteworthy that the sixth round of meetings of the Syrian Constitutional Committee in Geneva concluded its work at the end of last October, without reaching new results between the opposition and the regime.
