Unidentified gunmen attack an Iranian militia headquarters in Palmyra, killing some of its members

Local sources confirmed that unidentified gunmen attacked the headquarters of the Iranian "Revolutionary Guard" militia inside the city of Palmyra, east of Homs.

"Ain al-Euphrates" network said that unknown persons attacked the headquarters of the "Revolutionary Guard" militia in Al-Wasef neighborhood, opposite Palmyra Military Airport, killing two members and burning the headquarters.

The sources indicated that the "Revolutionary Guard" raided the entire Al-Wasef neighborhood and carried out a search campaign that affected a number of houses, which resulted in the arrest of 6 civilians, including an elderly person whose homes are located close to the targeting site.

It pointed out that despite the presence of the headquarters of the Syrian regime forces near the headquarters of the "Revolutionary Guard", they were not subjected to any attack, which raises a scenario that the perpetrator is not ISIS.
