Calls for a strike in Manbij to protest SDF curriculum

Local sources reported spread calls for a strike in Manbij city in Aleppo countryside, in protest against the "self-management" curricula of SDF.
According to Al-Araby Al-Jadeed website, quoting an activist in Manbij, the strike came as a reaction to the curricula imposed by “Autonomous Administration.”
A large section of Manbij residents oppose this decision, expressing their rejection of it, in addition to timing of adopting the curricula before the end of the current academic year. This causes problems for students and their families.
The source added that the calls include the refusal of children to go to school on Mondays, as well as the demand for teachers to strike in protest against these curricula.
For his part, a member of Manbij Media Office, Hamid Al-Ali, said that the curricula previously approved in a number of Manbij schools are the curricula of the Syrian regime's Ministry of Education, while the rest of the schools depend on the "self-management" curricula.
It pointed out that "the Autonomous Administration has deliberately neglected Arabic language in teaching for a long time in Manbij, while it has imposed the teaching of (biology), and is trying to pass its curricula and corrupt students," he said.
It is noteworthy that the "Autonomous Administration" in northeastern Syria approved the adoption of its own curricula in the schools of Manbij in Aleppo countryside, where the process of gradually replacing curricula began before the start of the new school year
