Response coordinators call on the international community to stop the suffering of the displaced in the camps

Yesterday, Thursday, the Syria Response Coordinators Group called on the international community and humanitarian organizations to work to alleviate the suffering of the displaced by increasing the pace of humanitarian operations in northwestern Syria.
In its statement, the team said that radical solutions must be found to end the suffering that has been going on for more than ten years until now.
It added that the survival of hundreds of thousands of civilians in camps in northwestern Syria can only be compared to the open. It has become unacceptable and has no alternative but the return of the displaced and the forcibly displaced to their cities and villages again.
It pointed out that more than one and a half million civilians residing in the camps have become unable to secure their minimum daily needs, with a large and continuous rise in the prices of food and heating materials, in light of a clear deficit in the humanitarian response operations provided by humanitarian organizations.
It is noteworthy that a number of camps in northern Syria were submerged by torrential rains and floods, which led to the collapse of many tents.
