Thousands of injuries... Leishmaniasis invades Al-Hasaka countryside

Medical teams confirmed that they recorded a significant increase in Leishmaniasis cases in Tel Tamer towns, north of Al-Hasaka, and Al-Shaddadi, located in the southern part of the governorate.

They added that these areas recorded more than 15,000 injuries, according to Doctor Taha Hussein, attributing this to medical negligence and the failure of the competent authorities to combat mosquitoes or midges with insecticides, which exacerbated the crisis and increased its spread.

The doctor said that not educating the community and educating people about the dangers of Aleppo pill may last for a year if it is neglected and not treated.

For its part, medical sources said, "The disease began to appear three months ago, but the number of infected people was very few, but it increased significantly during the last two weeks."

It is reported that the Health Authority of the Autonomous Administration has been unable for a month to detect people infected with Corona virus, and verify their health, due to the absence of materials needed for autopsy and analysis.
