The Syrian National Coalition announced its support for the new package of sanctions imposed by America on figures from Al-Assad regime and Iranians; implicated in war crimes and crimes against humanity.

The coalition said in a statement, that these sanctions, in addition to the previous US, European and British sanctions packages, represent a message to any international parties that are still considering floating the regime, or restoring the relationship with it in any way.

The coalition stressed the need to deliver the sanctions track to tangible results.

 It considered that the expected step of the international community in the Syrian file revolves around building an international mechanism to impose and implement international resolutions, including Resolution 2254, and to move forward in holding war criminals accountable.

It is noteworthy that, on Wednesday, the United States of America imposed sanctions against a number of regime officers accused of several crimes and other Iranian figures.
