The director of the media office of the "Syrian Democratic Forces" (SDF), Badi' Hasso, claimed that the Internal Security Forces (Asayish) arrested journalists from "Rudaw" media network by mistake, while Kurdish sources confirmed that the arrest was intended to terrorize the network's members. Which is active in covering SDF violations in the region.

Hasso said that the incident took place after the forces received information about the presence of people dealing in "marijuana" in the area where the network's office is located, but they arrested the wrong people.

The director of the media office indicated that "SDF" gave instructions to release the director of Rudaw's office and the five other journalists with him, stressing that there was confusion in the information they received in this regard.

It is reported that Al-Asayish raided yesterday the channel's office in Al-Qamishli and arrested the director of the office and the work team, without mentioning the reasons for closing it.
