A leader of local groups in As-Suwayda Governorate was killed in an explosion targeting his car in Rasas town in the southern countryside of As-Suwayda city.

And "As-Suwayda 24" page reported that an explosive device planted in a Toyota Hilux, belonging to Jawad Kamel Hamza, exploded around ten in the morning, killing him instantly.

It added that ambulances and firefighters headed to the location of the explosion, which occurred on the middle of the main road, opposite the town's gas station, where it is crowded with pedestrians from workers and residents, while no injuries were recorded among passers-by, according to a medical source.

It is noteworthy that Jawad leads a local armed group, and has worked with several security agencies over the last years, with civil contracts, and his name has recently emerged in security incidents and many problems that occurred in Rasas town.
