Al-Hashd Al-Shaabi militia arrests 13 young men who tried to enter Iraqi territory

Local sources reported that the Iranian-backed Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) arrested at dawn today, Wednesday, Syrian youths while they were trying to enter Iraqi territory illegally, and severely beat them.

The "Ain al-Furat" network quoted sources close to the detainees as saying that 80 young Syrians went with a smuggler into Iraqi territory, at dawn today, Wednesday, near the Syrian Rabi'a area, east of Al-Hasaka.

The sources indicated that the Iraqi Popular Mobilization militia managed to arrest 13 of them, while the rest managed to escape.

They added that the militia arrested the young men near the village of Gilbarat, which belongs to Rabia district, west of Mosul, on the Syrian-Iraqi border.

Among the detainees, Samir Al-Ghabash from the city of Al-Shadadi, Qutaiba Al-Majd from the people of Al-Shadadi, Yamen from the city of Deir Ezzor, Awad Al-Khalil from the city of Al-Raqqa, Abdullah Faour from Al-Raqqa, Durgham Al-Jamlo from Al-Raqqa were known.

It is noteworthy that the Iraqi forces announced a few days ago arresting a number of Syrians while they were trying to infiltrate into Iraqi territory illegally.
