The Turkish Ministry of Defense announces the elimination of 11 members of YPG in northern Syria

On Thursday, the Turkish Ministry of Defense announced the neutralization of 11 members of YPG/PKK organization in northern Syria.
The ministry stated, in a statement, that YPG/PKK elements tried to infiltrate and attack the area of Operation Peace Spring, with the aim of undermining the atmosphere of security and peace there.
According to Anatolia, it confirmed that the Turkish special forces thwarted the militants' attack on the area, and were able to neutralize 11 of the organization through a successful operation.
On October 9, 2019, the Turkish army, with the participation of the Syrian National Army, launched Operation Peace Spring east of the Euphrates River; to cleanse the area from YPG/PKK and ISIS terrorists, and to establish a safe area for the return of Syrian refugees to their country.
