They seized drugs with Iranian pilgrims...the regime punishes officers at #Damascus Airport

Local sources confirmed that Air Force Intelligence Division transferred a group of its officers and members stationed in Damascus International Airport detachment to other areas.

According to “Voice of the Capital” website, the Air Force Intelligence Division punished a number of officers of Damascus International Airport detachment, by transferring them to other detachments in the countryside of Hama and Homs.

The source added that the decision was issued after the officers of the detachment confiscated quantities of narcotics inside the airport.

The website quoted a source described as private as saying: that the officers in the airport detachment searched a number of Shiite pilgrims coming to Syria, and seized quantities of narcotic pill mixtures, and the raw materials used in their manufacture, which were hidden inside Qurans and religious books.

The source indicated that the officers of the detachment worked to arrest a number of Shiite pilgrims, and some of the supervisors of the Shiite delegations after seizing narcotic substances, and then the detachment released the Shiite pilgrims hours after their detention.

He pointed out that the Intelligence Division decided to transfer the officers and members who had detained them, as a punishment, after contacts between leaders of the Iranian militias and officers from the regime forces and its intelligence services.
