Civil Defense launches an initiative to treat Corona patients in their homes

The Syrian Civil Defense confirmed launching an initiative to care for Corona patients inside their homes in Azaz area and the surrounding camps in the northern countryside of Aleppo.

The Civil Defense stated on its official Facebook page, yesterday, Tuesday, that the initiative was launched due to the occupancy of all hospitals and the inability to absorb more infections after the extreme rise in the number of people infected with the Corona virus in northwestern Syria.

The Civil Defense added that 13 female volunteers from the women's teams are implementing this initiative, and confirmed that they have undergone training regarding the care of Covid-19 patients.

He pointed out that the volunteers provide medical care to more than 60 injured people on a daily basis, including first aid, nebulization sessions, and oxygen measurement.

The Civil Defense pointed out that the initiative began a few days ago and includes Azaz city, north of Aleppo, and includes the towns and villages surrounding Azaz, in addition to the random camps, which are registered with the local authorities, stressing that they are not the only or the last.

It is noteworthy that the regions of northern Syria are witnessing a wide spread of “Delta” and “Alpha” variants of the Corona virus, in light of the weakness of the health sector and the absence of its support.
