Local sources confirmed that Russia presented a suggestion to the delegation of the Syrian Democratic Council, which includes absorbing "SDF" forces as a division within the Syrian regime forces.

According to what "Syria TV" website reported, quoting sources, Russia told the delegation that the suggestion includes the adoption of a decentralized system of government, which allows local administrations a wide margin of autonomy, in addition to easing the powers of the presidency at the internal level.

The source added that Russia wants, through this perception, to absorb the Syrian Kurdish component, and to assure Washington that the Kurds will not be in danger if Washington decides to withdraw from Syria.

It stressed Moscow's desire to possess an important card in the face of Turkey, which it will invest in pushing Ankara to change its position on the Syrian regime and support the opposition against it.

It is noteworthy that Russia has intensified its political and military activity in Syria over the last weeks, in parallel with the launch of a strategic dialogue between it and the United States of America, and before hosting Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Sochi city on the Russian coast.
