Clashes and shelling launched in Daraa after Tafas agreement

Local sources confirmed that an exchange of fire took place yesterday, Monday, between members of the regime forces in the western countryside of Daraa.
Ahrar Houran Gathering said that shooting happened between the members of the quadripartite checkpoint near the town of Sheikh Saad, which is a joint checkpoint between the Air Force Intelligence and the Fifth Division, and the members of Masaken Glenn roundabout checkpoint of the Military Security.
It added that the clash developed to the point of firing mortar shells, one of which fell within Jordanian territory near the border town of Tel Shehab, and other shells in the area surrounding the checkpoints.
It pointed out that the clashes erupted after a dispute erupted at Masaken Glenn roundabout checkpoint, which was affiliated with the Fifth Division, after the officer in charge of it opened fire on the car of the brigadier general in the Military Security “Louay Al-Ali” and Russian police cars, according to Ahrar Houran Gathering.
It added that Russian police cars headed to Glenn Residences Roundabout Checkpoint after complaints were received from the checkpoint members, who had caused violations against civilians passing through the checkpoint.
The source pointed out that a Russian officer gave orders to the Russian police to deploy around the checkpoint and aim automatic rifles at the Fifth Division, which ended with changing the officer in charge of the checkpoint and replacing him with an officer from the Military Security.
The Gathering quoted a local source who was present at the dispute as saying: The officer of the "Fifth Division" who was in charge of Masaken Glen roundabout checkpoint told the "Military Security" official, Louay Al-Ali, "I take my orders from Bashar al-Assad, not from you, I don't want to see anyone here at the checkpoint
It is noteworthy that the regime forces entered the city of Tafas the day before yesterday to erect checkpoints and make settlements in implementation of an agreement between them and the central committees in Daraa.
