The Public Security Service of the Salvation Government was able to arrest members of a kidnapping gang while they were trying to kidnap a citizen in the northern countryside of Idlib.

Public Security indicated that it had arrested two people while luring a citizen who owns a money exchange shop in a town in the northern countryside of Idlib, in order to kidnap him.

The General Security Service in Idlib, in cooperation with the Security Service in the northern countryside of Aleppo, arrested a kidnapping gang in a cooperative operation, the first of its kind.

It is noteworthy that kidnappings with the aim of extortion and obtaining ransom money have increased significantly in the regions of northern Syria.
