The Education Department in the liberated Peace Spring area, northeastern Syria, announced the start of the new school year.

Anadolu Agency said that the scope of Operation Peace Spring includes the cities of Ras al-Ain and Tal Abyad and their countryside, which were liberated from YPG/PKK organization in 2019.

And Anatolia quoted the Director of Education in "Tal Abyad", Makram Haj Imam, yesterday, Saturday, that the school year 2021-2022 began in a safe atmosphere, noting that 32,000 students started education in 283 schools in Tel Abyad, and 15,300 students in 160 schools in Ras Al-Ain.

Haj Imam added that he is supervising the education process for 2,313 students in the two cities.

It is noteworthy that on October 9, 2019, the Turkish army, with the participation of the Syrian National Army, launched Operation Peace Spring east of the Euphrates River in northern Syria, to cleanse it of YPG/PKK and ISIS, and to establish a safe area for the return of refugees to their country.
