Seventeen members of the Democratic Union Party (PYD) were killed in two days in northern Syria, according to what the Turkish Ministry of Defense announced.

The ministry said in a statement issued today, Sunday, that it neutralized 10 members of the units, who tried to target the area of Operation Peace Spring in northern Syria.

Yesterday, Saturday, the ministry announced the killing of 7 members of the units, who also tried to target "Peace Spring" area.

It is noteworthy that the “National Army” factions, with direct military support from Turkey, took control of areas in northeastern Syria, including the city of Ras al-Ain and the city of Tal Abyad, in a military operation called “Spring of Peace” in 2019.
