The regime closes 7 classes in Lattakia schools due to Corona

The Directorate of Education of the Syrian regime closed 7 classrooms in the governorate’s schools recently, after dozens of students and members of the educational staff were infected with Corona virus (Covid-19), at a time when the regime-controlled areas are witnessing a widespread of the virus.

According to what was reported by the loyal "Al-Watan" newspaper, the Director of Education in Lattakia, "Omran Abu Khalil", that 51 cases of coronavirus have been recorded since the beginning of the school year to date.

Lattakia Education indicated that the total injuries include 5 students and 46 professors, in addition to two teachers.

In addition, the director of school health of the regime, "Hatun Al-Tawashi", said that "school health clinics and surveillance teams affiliated with the ministry were able to monitor 150 cases of coronavirus infection among teachers, administrators, and students."

Al-Tawashi added that most of those infected with the virus are teachers, as the largest percentage of infections was recorded in Lattakia.

It is noteworthy that the number of injuries among students documented by the Ministry was limited to 13 injuries in Syria, most of them in Damascus, Latakia and Homs, and all of them are normal and not severe.
