The people of Idlib, northwest Syria, woke up today, Monday, to the murder of the head of the local council of Tal Al-Karamah village.

Qasioun's reporter, quoting local sources, stated that, this morning, in a pit near "Zaytoun camp" in the northern countryside of Idlib, the people found the body of Ibrahim Hanano, the head of the local council of the town of Tal Al-Karamah, north of Idlib.

He pointed out that the civil defense teams worked to retrieve the body and transfer it to the Judicial Medicine Center in the city of Idlib, and it turned out that he was killed by a gunshot to the head.

Hanano was kidnapped yesterday, Sunday, after leaving his home, to be found this morning, killed by people whose identities have not been known yet.

It is noteworthy that assassinations and kidnappings have increased significantly in the liberated areas, and in most cases, they affect civilian or military officials.
