Civil Defense confirms presence thousands of unexploded ordnance in northern Syria

The Syrian Civil Defense Organization, "The White Helmets", renewed its warning to civilians in the liberated areas, of the thousands of unexploded ordnance left by the bombing of Russia and "Al-Assad regime" on northwestern Syria.

According to what the Civil Defense stated on its official Facebook page, thousands of unexploded ordnances (UXO) left over from the bombing of Russia and “Al-Assad regime” are scattered in agricultural lands and among civilian homes.

It added in his report that many of his volunteers work in survey teams to remove unexploded ordnance, which threatens the lives of hundreds of civilians and children in particular, and is one of the most dangerous tasks carried out by volunteers.

It is noteworthy that the organization had previously recommended civilians to be careful and not to approach any foreign object and to stay away from it, and to communicate and inform the nearest Syrian Civil Defense center immediately to be dealt with.
